INTERSESSION MEETING
ADVOCACY PICTURES

Just after my speech in the plenary session, during the ensuing pause,
I stumbled upon
the Chairman of the Conference Adama SAMASSEKOU who told me he
was just looking for me. We discussed a little bit, as Adama SAMASSEKOU
seemed very supportive of the idea of Open Access.
It happened that I met him later, we had a longer talk and
I was able to present him my friend Richard Stallman.
Then, by chance, Adama SAMASSEKOU went into the room where
we were just celebrating the last C&T meeting with Champagne, in order
to chair yet another smaller diplomatic meeting.
It was a great opportunity to give him as a present an Open Access
T-shirt.
Adama SAMASSEKOU is very warmly thanked to have allowed pictures to be
taken on this occasion, in order to help promote Open Access.

I have been lobbying hard in the alleys of the
Conference during pauses, mostly as an advocate for Open Access
(but without forgetting to mention Open Source / Free Software ), while giving
to some delegates Open AccessT-shirts and Caps.
Open Source / Free Software advocacy is being taken care of by the
Free Software Foundation.
I could not give T-shirts to all the people I dicussed with, because
the limited supply that I could hide in my portfolio went out pretty fast.
